Major: Lost Boy - Post-Viz - Animation Progress #3
Todays Animation Progress - I enjoyed this one, I decided to have Present Graeme version 2 face the audience when rolling along his ball of tobacco - I think its more comical that way :)
Hi Graeme - At the moment your character is (very) 'rigid' because you haven't moved his spine...at all!? The same is true in your previous post. For example, when Graeme is running his back should be arched forward (reversing as he runs). I can see a trend here...basically, focusing on arms, legs, and head to give you motion. Remember animation starts with the root (COG / balance) and the moves onto the curvatuve or the spine (through to the pelvis). You seem to be omitting/forgetting that part of your animation process.
Hi Graeme - just a sound design thing (I know you're way off committing to your master sounds, but...) I think you need to re-think the sound your tobacco ball makes when the time comes - something to express the scale of it more convincingly? It's a big thing - I think it needs to sound big!

ReplyDeleteHi Phil Thanks Absolutely! a lot of the sounds are just placeholders for the moment, I want it to sound massive and epic! :)
