I have added in movement to present Graeme's spine and cog control and a breathe in and out for the exhale of his cigarette - I think he looks much more vivacious and alive now, I do think there is room for improvement, I still need to animate the eyebrows too.

Hi - Move the 'COG - Centre of Gravity' control side to side like he is shifting weight slightly between poses. If you don't use the COG a character will always look like he has a drawing pin through his pelvis/centre keeping him pinned to the background. Does that make sense?
ReplyDeleteHi - Check out this video (link below). It goes over the process that I was explaining to you yesterday. In terms of Maya it is an old video now but the animtion process hasn't changed. You should start with the COG (Root).
