Lost Boy: Present Graeme - Head Modelling - Adding Details

I have added some further details to the present Graeme model by making one eyelid dopier than the other, making one ear stick out further than the other and making one eyebrow slightly higher than the other.

Lost Boy: The Art Room - Renders

These renders were used done using the majority of alpha channels in my last post to get the feel of the original art room concept art, I still need to play around with getting a depth of field pass to show some atmospheric perspective, I did create some bleached out colour passes with a white wash to give the illusion of atmosphere perspective but I wasn't feeling the way that they looked, I will do some more tests with this.

Lost Boy: The Art Room - Alpha Map Texture Tests

I have been playing around with Alpha textures to look of the concept art for the art room, I ran into a lot of problems trying to get the Alpha Channels to work, I eventually realised that I had to reverse the alpha channels - usually with an alpha channel the white is the part that shows up and the black is the transparent part but with my case it was in reverse.

Lost boy: Voiceover Recording - Round 2

I have rerecorded the voiceover for Lost Boy, It is still not quite there yet but I think the main objective right now is to figure out visually exactly what is going to be shown and when, as with this recording I don’t know the pacing of the times of the voiceover because I don’t know how long any certain part of the animation is going to last for.

With this recording I tried to inject more life into it and tried speeding things up and worry less about enunciating, I am starting to get into the flow of knowing how to draw out words or shorten them for emphasis along with altering the pitch of my voice, I particularly like the line “In the end they gave in” it's interesting because in the next chunk of the voiceover my voice sounds a lot happier because I couldn’t stop laughing after hearing that line over again.

There is an annoying hum throughout the parts of the recording and I could edit this out in audition but for now I really want to nail the story and know exactly what is going to happen with the timing by drafting up a document with possible scenarios for the animation and then making a certain shot-list. I do enjoy recording the voiceover and I will return to the studio to record once again and I also want to record reaction sound effects but first I need to have the story set in stone.

Lost Boy: Present Graeme - Head Model Update

The present Graeme head model is near completion, Just a few more tweaks here and there and adding some detail and I think he should be good to go.

Life Drawing; Year 3 - Session 1

It was really nice to have a break away from screens and be back doing some life Drawing. I still have a lot to learn with Life Drawing but it is a skill that I want to continue to improve on by doing it as much as possible.
