Acting class today was a lot of fun. We had to come up with a story and break it down into 3 key poses to get to the key moments that tell the story. Joe, Karolina and myself were a team and our story consisted of myself as the vengeful mob boss, Joe as the ne'er-do-well who owe's the mob boss money and Karolina as the mob boss's pet dog that has bladder issues.
I recorded a rough version of the script for my Premise Project. There are some parts that could be improved and I will return to this at a later date. I just wanted to get an overall time slot going so I can pace the storyboard and animatic more precisely, I am surprised that the recording clocked in over 4 minutes. overall I enjoyed the process and I tried my best to make my voice sound like a conversation with a friend rather than mechanical and have it in parts feel authentic to the emotions that the script is linked too.
Some further designs of mrs Pratt. I started out using basic shapes and adding and drawing through them. I enjoy doing characters doing this way as it feels like it makes a lot more sense to break the character down to its bare essential and then flesh them out with more detail.
I wasn't happy with the previous version of the infographic so I decided to revisit it, There's still a few things that could be improved but I really enjoyed doing this project and it has opened my eyes to the more 2D possibilities of Maya. Stranger Things Infographic from Graeme Daly on Vimeo.
