  1. Character Design Feedback

Overall, I think there is great sense of fun with your design bible, evoking a campy B movie sensibility. I think its clear, however, that you have struggled with structure of your character and the results look a little stiff, particularly with the turnarounds and gestures. The one-dimensional finalised image of your Kitten works much better as a style, but doesn’t seem to integrate with your sidekick. Either you need more development and understanding of three dimensional forms, or perhaps it may be better to develop a more one-dimensional style that plays to your strengths (simple shapes, chunky line etc)

Your acidic environments feels perfect for the style, capturing the spirit of your genre, and the storyboard, if somewhat basic, is easy to follow. However there are many inconsistencies with your character constructions and designs, so I think you would benefit from working on a more cohesive style. That would really help tie all of the elements together.

So in conclusion, although many of the elements capture the style and genre you were striving for, the inconsistent designs and structural issues are distracting and the result is a little muddled. Hopefully you will be able to find solutions to these issues in the future. - JW
