    1. I feel like It's definitely going to be creepy because of the embalmist and the attic, Ellie gave me the great idea of maybe the mousetrap could be the game mousetrap except maybe human sized and maybe the Embalmist is trapping victims in the mousetrap and embalming them? or I was thinking maybe the embalmist is a mouse and he lives in the attic with all these other mice and they are being struck off one by one by mousetraps and none of them know what they are but cant help but spring the traps of them and maybe the embalmists wife/husband/child gets killed and he has to embalm them? I'm not too sure yet I'm just trying to spitball idea's. If you have idea's yourself Karolina PLEASE let me know, I'll do the same for yours too :)

    2. Well, I have some ridiculous idea which might sound bizarre. What if some dead bodies are left in attics. And embalmist left mouse traps around them so mouses wouldn't come to steal the dead bodies?! :D Theif mouses coming to steal bodies, while embalmist is like guard, trying to keep them away.

    3. Ya that could go somewhere thank you :) but why would the dead bodies be just left in the attic and why would the mice be stealing them?.

    4. Well, these dead bodies can be in a queue to be buried, but because so many people died in such short period in time that they have to be left in attics? :D And of course, in general mice/rats like "rotting flesh", like tiny cannibals, they will try to eat or take the body away to their cave/home.

  2. You might want to think about the character of the embalmist - I suspect they might be very 'OCD' in terms of their love of detail and making bodies look perfect. He/She probably needs complete quiet to do their job. It might be very distracting (i.e. funny!) if the scurrying of a mouse kept interrupting him - a sort of 'character vs character' type thing?

Also - maybe your character is the son of an embalmist - who is strict and loveless and prefers the company of silent bodies to his own son - so maybe the son is lonely, and befriends a mouse up in the attic, but the embalmist isn't happy about that one bit, because mice are 'unclean' and nibble at his stuff...

    1. Holy shit Phil I love it!. So then the embalmist lays out mousetraps to annihilate the unclean mouse, even though he knows that its his sons only friend, maybe the mouse is critical but not dead so the son has to try and save him/her somehow before he/she perishes...
